About this location
El Cid, a longtime restaurant and flamenco venue in Silver Lake, became a site for queer nightlife and lesbian community events in the 2000s. Vanessa Craig produced several events there, including Slow Ride, Mac Attack, and You Don't Know, Dick: A Night of Lesbian Trivia. The monthly trivia night offered an alternative to a typical dance party.
