About this location
The Virgil opened in June 2012 on the site of the former Garage near Silver Lake. It maintained The Garage’s tradition of queer events. Vanessa Craig organized Grind, a 1990s themed queer dance event, at the club from approximately 2012 to 2014. The event featured retro hip hop sounds, go-go dancers, and other artists.
